a year in review {two thousand eighteen}

Oh, 2018, where do I even begin?

I guess I can start by thanking you. Thank you for being so kind to me this year. Thank you for the people that have been brought into my life this year and for the memories made with friends both old and new. Thank you for my family, of course, and for being able to spend such a big chunk of time with them all over Christmas. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a job that I adore, one that rarely feels like work. Thank you for the sunrises and sunsets I've witnessed, and for how alive I felt in those moments. Thank you for my darling cat, Olive, for sunshine, and for the flowers that bloom in the spring. Thank for the camping trips we took, for spontaneous adventures, and for dips in the lake in the summer. Thank you for our trip to New York City, and for the experiences we had and memories we made there. Thank you for the most beautiful fall, for the sunny days, turning leaves, and all things pumpkin. Thank you for a Christmas season filled with fun adventures and time with loved ones.

2018 has certainly made it's way up there on my list of favourite years. A whole lot of personal growth went down and I'm so grateful for where it led me. I feel so genuinely happy and grateful for all that I get to experience in this lifetime. This world and it's inner workings are so beautiful and wonderful. I've disconnected from technology and social media a lot more this year. I feel the desire to live my own life more than witnessing other people's through a screen. I get outdoors so much more and spend my time more wisely and it has made all the difference. I'm leaving 2018 and welcoming 2019 with so much peace in my soul.

You were very, very good to me, 2018. 2019 is going to have a lot to live up to, but I'm almost certain it will be just as good.
