Earlier this week, we packed up the car and ventured over and up the island a little bit to the beautiful Tofino. Coffee and ice cream in tow, we took off around noon and arrived around four in the afternoon, stopping in Coombs for a bit of antique store browsing and a look around the Goats on the Roof Country Market. It was raining on and off all day, but Tofino is gorgeous in any weather. And when the sun did decide to show it's face? Oh, happy days. We danced and ran and laughed in the gorgeous hazy light. Our main reason for taking this little day trip was so that Johanna could see Tofino before she goes back home to Austria on Tuesday, and I'm so glad that she got to have this experience! We were only there for a couple of hours before we made the trek home, but it was an all-around beautiful day. One you look back on with the happiest of memories with the best of friends. Tofino? I'll be back soon, I promise.

So it's summer now. Where oh where has this year gone? I feel like eleventh grade started just last week, but somehow, miraculously, it has already come to an end. At the beginning of the year I couldn't wait for the year to be over, but as we came closer and closer to the end, I never wanted it to end. The realization that next year is my very last year of high school is slightly overwhelming and frightening, but also extremely exciting. And this last summer of mine before real life starts? I'm going to make it count. Sleepovers with friends, concerts, camping, beach days, movie nights, you name it. It's gonna be a summer to remember.
