a night in port renfrew

Last month, Madi and I hopped in her new Jeep and made the 2 or so hour drive to Port Renfrew for a spontaneous night of camping. We had less than 24 hours from the time we left to when we had to be back home, but we were craving an adventure and had to break in the Jeep with a little road trip!

I had never been to Port Renfrew before but had heard wonderful things about it from friends who have visited. It's a tiny remote little seaside town here on Vancouver Island with no cell service and tons of incredible beaches.

It was a rainy first night and we were sort of regretting our spontaneity for a second there. But we ended up having a good sleep and woke up to clear skies the next morning. It was a short trip, but the sense of peace and calmness I felt being completely disconnected from cell service and social media was really nice. I'd love to go back in the summer when the weather is a little better to be able to enjoy the place to it's fullest!
