last day of school

Yesterday marked the last day of classes for me and I couldn't be happier. I realize that the majority of you guys have been on summer vacation for awhile already, but for some reason Canada gets out later.. It didn't really feel like the last day except for the fact that all the teachers were being extremely nice and laid back.

The day started out with my alarm clock blaring at 6:00. Since it was the last day, I wanted to curl my hair! :)

You can't really see it that well, but after nearly an hours worth of work, I was done. It's my favourite way to wear my hair but it takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r.

In Socials we watched the movie Ice Age, and in Science we did some revision. But the real fun started after lunch in 3rd block!

Any guesses at what we were playing?

If you guessed belly ball then you're right! If you haven't heard of belly ball, it's basically like California Kick-Ball except for 1st & 3rd base are replaced by the giant blue mats shown above. Once you kick the ball you have to run to the mat and stay on your belly or else you're out. 2nd base was a normal base where you got to stand up and the home plate was:

Oh yes, a slip & slide! :)

I'm pretty sure you get the point, but these pictures are way too fun not to share!

Okay, I'm done.

Oh wait, one more. ;)

So.Much.Fun.

Of course I didn't actually participate in the slip & slide action because taking pictures of people expressions was way too much fun! :D

Next block was English, where we had a party and went over some poems & things.

(don't mind their scary faces, they're actually quite amazing!)

What better way to end the last day of 9th grade then a ladybug for good luck?

Although I wanted to celebrate the fact that it was the last day of school, we still have Final Exams next week, which require a huge amount of studying. After going over my Math pre-test, Science notes, and flipping through my Socials textbook, I finally feel somewhat confident that I'll do well.

I'll most likely be able to post during the Final Exam chaos, but I'm not going to make any promises! Wish me luck! :)

P.S. Today I am starting a project 365. If you want to give it a look you can find it here! :)
