on riots and such

If anybody watched game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Bruins and the Canucks then you know what I'm talking about when I admit that I am ashamed to call British Columbia my home right now. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, then let me tell you! I'm sure you all know of the Stanley Cup, but if not, it's a trophy awarded to the NHL playoffs champion after the  conclusion of the Stanley Cup Finals. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but basically there are playoffs and the team who wins the playoffs takes home the Stanley Cup.

This year, Vancouver's team the Canucks, and Boston's team the Bruins, were the final two teams competing for the cup. This is the closest the Canucks have come to winning the cup, and the final game was hosted in Vancouver.

Sadly, for all the Canucks fans, the Bruins won with 4-0. Apparently this causes Canucks fans to start a riot down town Vancouver. Don't know what I mean? Imagine cars lit on fire, shop windows smashed, multiple arrests and police using tear gas to try and get the rioters to stop rioting. Actually, you don't need to imagine it;

I personally think that this is the most immature, ridiculous, pathetic, horrible, and idiotic thing that they could have done. If the Canucks fans act this way when the Bruins won, then I don't think that Vancouver even deserved the cup!

I'm sorry that I'm rambling on, but this is giving Vancouver a reputation that it doesn't deserve, and to think that I live on an island named after Vancouver, it makes me angry to think that these people are technically my neighbours!

Just needed to get that off my chest.
